This was the second request I’d had in 3 days for the ‘hypnotic’ version of the surgical procedure... Gastric band surgery involves realigning the digestive tract and sectioning the stomach so its capacity is greatly reduced and the patient is unable to consume large amounts of food. You may have read the story of this Gastric band patient prepared to sue NHS. Although Tim Daily did lose half his 24 stone after the gastric band surgery he says it’s made his life so miserable that he’d rather be fat again. He used to suffer from diabetes and had a series of "mini-strokes" but since the procedure he now claims he can only feed through a tube and faces a lifetime of agony. "People often think having this op is a quick fix, but they need to be more aware of the risks” he said.
Please consider your life carefully before opting for surgery and really clarify what it is that prevents you reducing your weight permanently. Denise Bosque, Dip.Hyp, BSCH, NHSTA Add this page to your favorite Social Bookmarking websites
