WEEKLY COACHING TIP
#101
YOU
CAN CHANGE THE WORLD
Congratulations to the winner of the free coaching session: Sue Kennedy A number of years ago there was a famous experiment using DNA at the HeartMath Institute. This experiment involved having a series of people from whom DNA samples had been taken from them and then asking these people to experience certain feelings such as love, compassion, appreciation, in their heart. What transpired was that the DNA relaxed and elongated itself. When the experimenter felt fear based emotions (anger, hate and jealousy) the DNA tightened. When DNA is relaxed or loose, there is more capacity for the immune system to function. The scientists were quite intrigued at this time and decided to see if the same effect would happen, if the DNA and the experimenters feeling the emotions were in separate places. They flew the DNA 400 miles to another state in the US and exactly the same thing happened! So what does this mean? There have been many scientific experiments like this, which scientists now conclude, that there is a non-local energy (an energy that exists there all the time) with the world around us and time and distance have no effect on this communication. Some of us who are 'spiritual' don't need scientific studies to prove that, we know from distance healing, the power of thought or prayer, that people can be affected by the energy of thought no matter where they are. What has been happening rather slowly, but now gathering momentum in the west, is that scientists can prove there is a from of energy that we are all linked through. This essentially means we are empowered to participate with wisdom and discernment in the events of our lives, the healing of our bodies and the peace of our world. Greg Braden is a scientist and seeker of truth. He has visited many sacred places including Tibetan monasteries and Egypt, he has had access to the Dead Sea Scrolls and is a fountain of knowledge in these matters. In his CD programme "Speaking the Lost Language of God" he goes on to say that western scientists are now calling this energy that is omnipotent 'the mind of God'. Now whether you are conventionally religious or spiritual doesn't really matter. What does, is knowing that you can influence not only your own life, but also the world we live in. In his programme he cites many examples of 'hard' evidence about this non-local energy. One, in particular, is a project that has been set up by Princeton University by researchers Dean Raden and Roger Nelson it's called the Global Consciousness Project (http://egg1.princeton.edu/). The researchers discovered that certain electronics are affected by changes in human consciousness. They experimented with those devices during the change of the millennium. There was clear evidence that prayer vigils that were taking place at that time and celebrations affected the readings of the devices. The same for 9/11. There is now about 50 such devices set up around the world. Greg goes on
to tell of one of the experiences he personally had whilst giving a
lecture on the wisdom of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Apparently there were
3,200 people in the audience all like minded, all interested in world
peace. At the same time there were people outside protesting and very
angry (he doesn't say why) in the end they invited them in.
They all piled into the auditorium and although their thought hadn't
changed, they couldn't express the feeling of anger any more. All this just proves, yet again, how a person can influence people around them, the world. However, imagine a collective energy, imagine the power of that. Many years ago Jung talked about the 'collective unconscious' and how we influence each other. We are all connected so whatever your thoughts are you are influencing everything. Our thoughts are mirrored back to us in the world. You cannot fight hate and prejudice with the same thing. Our inner state/vibration has to change to have the kind of world that you'd like to live in. This, I believe, is very powerful and important knowledge. Greg Braden states that ...'we are on the verge of marrying science and spirituality into a new wisdom.' There are many more details experiment, etc on this audio programme. It is excellent for anyone who is interested in spiritual matters, having a wonderful life and world peace. If you would like more information call Nightingale Conant on 01803 666 100. Because I passionately believe in living in a world of peace and the power of collective thought/prayer, I would request you to forward this email on to anyone you think is like-minded. So today I thought I'd take a couple of questions from Greg Braden's programme for you to think about. 1. Do an inventory of your feelings. What do you feel most throughout the your day? How much of your day is filled with worry, stress, anxiety, sadness, anger or grief? How can you create more feelings of gratitude, appreciation, joy and peace in our life? 2. What are you currently feeling in your heart at this moment? Remember, the dialogue within your body changes the chemistry in your brain. If you are feeling negative emotions, can you make the choice to change them? If not, why not? What are you gaining by holding onto such self-destructive emotions? 3. Are you currently making life-affirming or life-denying choices? How are you caring for your physical, mental and spiritual health? Make a list of any life-denying choices that you are currently making. 4. Could you commit to doing a peace prayer for 5 minutes each day for at least a month in which you envision the earth as a place of deep, joyful peace? Whilst praying you must have the emotion of joy or peace. Otherwise this just becomes a mental exercise. Journal about your experiences and insights as you practice this exercise. Until next week Onwards and Upwards and have a peaceful and wise week! 2004 Denise Bosque All Rights Reserved |
