WEEKLY COACHING TIP #148   

HOW TO FEEL CONSISTENTLY AMAZING (in 7 days)

The Sanskrit word for PRAYER is:

TO JUDGE OURSELVES WONDROUSLY MADE

Isnt it wonderful, and sometimes not so wonderful, that we are such creatures of habit? 

The habitual patterns we do, tend to make us who we are, do they not?

I help people to change their disempowering habits, very quickly sometimes. Using a range of techniques from Hypnosis, NLP, EFT and various other strategies, they can really shift their old habits to something that serves them better, as long as they have the desire.

Its always interesting to me, how people only decide to change a habit when it really starts to impact their life negatively. The exception to this, generally speaking, are the real high achievers, driven types, the ones who generally want to feel excellent about all areas of their life, as much as possible.

What about you? Do you tend to be reactive or proactive?

Sometimes though, going for what could be perceived as a big habit, can be off putting, so what about starting with something simple?  Most people will try to change smaller things if its not too complicated and the pay off is worth it to them.

So today, lets make this really simple, using small steps to help you feel amazing about yourself.  Imagine, if you felt fantastic about you, really great, enjoying being you, and improving areas you truly want to, how is that going to impact your life, your work, your relationships, your ability to create more money.

Feeling great with a sense of wonderful well-being is our birthright, living anything below that, is just a waste of our massive potential. This is about being in praise of yourself.  It is the only place to start. In the West we tend to be really critical and judgmental of ourselves and others. Some other cultures encourage taking care of self first!

There is a word kaizen which comes from the Japanese meaning, small daily improvement.  The Japanese have turned companies around using this concept. Taking this idea wouldnt it be great if you got up everyday and felt wonderful about you?  Of course, this has the great spin off, to also feel kinder and look for the good in others too.

So for the next 7 DAYS, EVERY DAY, increase how amazing you feel!  This is a great foundation for anything in life!

Every Day For 7 Days

1. Go inside yourself right now, and imagine, on a scale of 1-10 (where 10 is the BEST), how you feel about yourself, is life force gushing through you or dripping through you. 

For examples sake, lets say you feel about 6, what I want you to imagine is a kind of thermometer, and you see the number with the red mark, now go down 1 or 2 notches to maybe 5 or 4.

Notice the feeling, now take it up past your original number (6), to maybe 7 or 8, or even higher if you can.  Now notice how that makes you feel.

Youve just proved you can heighten your own state, thats fabulous for starters!

2 .   Get out of bed and make sure the first thing you see is a reminder of how amazing you want to feel.  Have a post-it note on the bathroom mirror, near your alarm clock, wherever.  Make sure its got something on it thats positive, e.g. I am choosing to feel, great/contented/calm/happy etc.  Then do your thermometer reading and adjust if necessary. 

This is a great way to put yourself into a kind of positive trance for starting your day. Much better than listening to the news first thing.  By the way, if you have the news set to wake you up, DONT!  Why would you do that to yourself first thing in the morning?

3Talk to yourself nicely, like you would to a true, adoring and loving friend. For example, I feel great that Im taking this action, whatever it is, its wonderful that I take time each day for me, etc.

4.   Eat health giving, living foods whenever possible, especially if you dont normally.  Just do it for 1 meal even, per day; you are re-conditioning your habits.  If you already eat very healthily, how can you improve or add to this in some way? (e.g. add positive thought, really chew the food )

5. Say out loud: I feel great/amazing/fantastic today.  At the same time move as you say it, swing your arms jump up and down stretch, anything. 

Physiology is closely linked to how we feel, if you say it and at the same time, link some movement to it, you really are conditioning yourself to really feel and be it.

This really is a MUST do, it will enhance everything for your overall well being.  If it helps, put on your favourite music and dance it! (Dont be so English about it!!)

6. Think of 1 thing you can do for someone else and get EXCITED about! I mean really feel that.  I dont care if its having a cup of coffee with a friend, buying the Big Issue or deciding to make a colleague feel great, e.g. by pointing all his/her qualities. Even if your colleague is embarrassed, it will make them feel good at some level and YOUR cells will be resonating too so you will feel good and probably everyone you come into contact with too!

I guarantee that if you do all of the above, daily, for seven days you will start to feel different, do it for a month and you really will have it wired in!  Its simple quick and takes a few moments throughout the day to bring your consciousness to it.  Thats why reminders dotted around everywhere are a great help.

I have one client, a very motivated individual, who, on one of his goals has an alarm go off on his computer several times a day, to remind him to do certain things.  Every time we meet, he delights me with his rapid progress on all his goals.  Why is it so rapid?

Quite simply he is FOCUSED and CONSCIOUS of the things he wants to do to change certain habits and adopt greater, more empowering ones, however small they may seem.

Next week we will carry on with a tip and exercise on habits.  Remember, Habits maketh a man (and a woman)!
